II Corinthians 9:6-7 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. I've done it, as I'm sure we all have. Dare I say it, I just don't wanna go to church. I don't want to wake up at 7a.m. on a Saturday to work on the church building, or even spend my only day off changing the brakes on a sister's car. I did it anyway, but I missed out on a blessing.
We often tend to lose sight of the big picture. We need to remember, whatever we have to give is from God. James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Once we realize that every good gift is from God, maybe we won't whine so much the next time we get the opportunity to give some of it back.
